A few years ago, the use of weed in public was considered a taboo. Today, the use of cannabis has become so fashionable that celebrities are now jumping on the bandwagon of creating their own personalized brands of the product.
First it was Snoop Dogg who revealed his plans to start a marijuana company. Then Rihanna followed suit with a weed line. Now it's Wiz Khalifa's turn.
He's always advocated for legalized cannabis use.
And now recording artist Wiz Khalifa is taking his activism one step further, announcing he has partnered with a marijuana company in Colorado to create his own pot strain and related products.
"These products have taken years to perfect. I'm really excited to finally share them with the public and to work with RiverRock to raise awareness and end cannabis prohibition nationwide," the rapper said in a statement to people on Thursday.
Wiz frequently posts Instagram photos of himself smoking and handling large quantities of the drug.
His next album is rumored to be titled Rolling Papers 2: The Weed Album, according to Forbes.
The new business partnership isn't actually the rapper's first attempt into the marijuana industry, as he already had a deal in place with RAW Rolling Papers.
