How Beyonce Stole The Show From Coldplay During Their Super Bowl Halftime Performance

Even though British group Coldplay headlined last night’s Super Bowl 50 halftime show, Beyoncé who was a guest performer completely outshines them!
Just 24 hours before the Super Bowl, Beyoncé debuted a brand new song & video titled Formation, which she performed flanked by all black female backup dancers, dressed in Black Panther-adjacent uniforms and Afros.

Beyonce was definitely making a political statement with her performance which also saw her pay homage to Michael Jackson rocking an almost identical jacket to what he wore for his Super Bowl performance of 1993.

During her energetic performance the Queen even took a tumble but in true Bey fashion she quickly swerved it and played it off as part of the routine!

To top it off Beyonce used the show to announce a new world tour, kicking off on April 27. The tour’s 40 shows will be split fairly evenly between North America and the U.K. and Europe, with Canada and the U.S. to run through mid-June. The U.K./Europe leg will start in mid-June and run through July and just in case you were wondering all tickets are sold out.
